A slow moving high pressure system is over the South Island. Most mornings we wake up to thick fog which begins to lift around 10:00 or 11:00 am.
This morning the fog didn’t start to lift until after 11:00.
It’s hard to believe this blue sky was sitting above the fog blanket. This has been the pattern for several days and is forecast to continue. These photos were taken from our back porch looking down the river.
It is now 8:15 pm and the full moon is shining but the fog will roll in before midnight.
